Notice: Yahoo Messenger stopped its services on July 2018

Sun Cellular has developed a similar service to Yahoo SMS Messenger called iMessenger, where YM users can login and chat via SMS. Once logged in using iMessenger, YM status changes to “iMessenger”. Good thing about this service is their availability, not only to Yahoo users but to MSN, AOL and ICQ users as well!

This service has been available since January 2006. But its only now that I noticed it when a YM buddy logged in using iMessenger.

How to use iMessenger

To start using the service, just type IM and send to 2746.

To login:

LOGIN YAHOO yahooid password

To start chatting:

CHAT YAHOO yahooid message

To logout:

LOGOUT

To use the service with other clients (MSN, AOL, ICQ) , read their quick start. Each LOGIN costs Php 2, and each message you send to a buddy costs Php 0.50.
