Land Transportation Office (LTO) is an agency of the Philippine government responsible for improving land transportation services and facilities and implementing various transportation laws, rules, and regulations.
LTO’s Info-Text service will allow any person with a mobile phone to ask LTO about rules and procedures, and even data on certain vehicles.

kse may nagbenta sakin ng sasakyan
eh hindi tlga yun may-ari nag alok.eh gsto ko malaman kung kanino

Yung bang mga rehistro ng sasakyan nuon na hindi under ng computerized system eh wla talaga records dun sa LTO na pinagrehistrohan?

please be careful in buying 2nd hand cars.
I happened to buy a second hand car sept 2009 last yeat and used LTO info service to check for alarms. It was all clear. When I bought the car, the dealer transferred the OR/CR to my name. It was all original and legal OR/CR, I even checked in in camp crame. LTO even said my papers are clean.
Just two weeks ago, a sheriff, CIDG and a rep of a credit corporation went to our home to get the car from me. They said the car is alarmed because the it was used as a colateral for a loan. The loan was done 5 months before I bought the car. I wasn’t able to do anything because they have a court order.
I am now car-less and traumatized! so buyers beware!

@unlucky – you should file a complaint to the DTI. Know your consumer rights. if you already have the original OR/CR under your name then the credit company no longer has the authority to get your car because the owner is different from the one who took the loan from them. Bka binayaran lang ng credit company ang sheriff at CIDG agent para matakot ka. the fact na nai transfer sa yo ang name ng registration is enough proof that you are now the new owner of the car and has no obligation to the credit company.
helo po! katulad po ako nang situation kay josie.. no record po ang response nila.. ang sabi nang dealer sa amin ay 2 years nang hindi na rehistro ang sasakyan, meaning noong 2008 pa ang huli nitong registration.. tsaka, medyo huli po kasi ang computerized na registration smin, un lang bang na computerized na ang ma te-trace nila? pls.. help us po.. interesado po kasi ako sa sasakyan..

My kids with their yaya flagged down taxi TYV780 (Make/Toyota, Model/VIOS 1.3J GAS M/Year 2009/Color Blaze).
They were cruising somewhere in Aurora Q.C. going to school when suddenly the driver asked them to get off the taxi. The place where they got off is unknown to my yaya. And it scared them as to the sudden decision of the driver to leave them. Good thing another taxi passed by.

i found a dealer for hyundai starex, model 2003. tried verifying the plate no to 2600, this is the reply

I had my car registered last April 29, 2011. I let someone from the LTO do the registration for me since it is the cut-off date for plate numbers ending with ’4′. All the documents were given to me by a friend a day after.
2 days later, when I checked it by texting the 2600, the registration appears to be the last year’s registration information.
Are there any known issues/updates being done on the 2600 service?

Useless Infotext service. It only indicates the car make and color and apprehension record. NO address and no owner. Pano kung na involved sa traffic violation o crime? walang owner and address, so wala ring mahahabol.

how can i verify na naka change engine na sya dito sa 2600? kasi sinasabi lang dito is the colr and kung may bad record eh.. may balak kasi akong bilhin sabi nag change engine pero di ko sure kung naka register na talaga sa lto yun..
